Part Time Bike Mechanic

A Bike Mechanic is expected to be well-versed in repair of all types of bikes, as well as gear related to cycling (including but not limited to: wheel repair, wheel truing, electronic shifting, power meters, bike computers). Bike Techs should also have a strong knowledge of store product and be able to assist sales associates with sales if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform tune ups and service on bikes
• Fix flat tires and minor repairs as soon as they come in
• Build bikes
• Assist in retail as needed
• Provide neutral bike support at sponsored races/events
• Ensure that the mechanics work space is clean and tidy at end of day
• Effectively utilize the Service portion of the Lightspeed system
• Make sure bike tires on bikes on floor for sale are pumped on a regular basis

Pay is hourly and based on experience and knowledge of bike service.
